After University, I trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic. I then spent 10 years performing in film, TV and theatre before turning to directing. I have run two large Repertory Companies in the UK and as a freelance I have directed all over the world; Shakespeare in New York, Aykbourn in Sri Lanka, Farces in Dubai and Wilde in San Francisco. I still direct a couple of productions per year outside MaST and am Associate Director of a New York Theatre Company. I am also a writer and to date have had four plays published and performed professionally. I am also a tutor at a major London Drama School.
In the early 1990’s I founded MaST Theatre which has grown into one of the major players in Business Drama in the world. In the last ten years whilst leading the team, I have personally specialised in presentation skills – often one to one, writing business speeches and Diversity. On this last subject I have had several articles published.
I believe that the basis of good theatre which moves us intellectually and emotionally is good writing and good acting. This is the basis of MaST Theatre. My other mantra is close working with the clients and matching the client needs with the right MaST team. |

After initially studying Architecture at The Bartlet School I joined the Bristol Old Vic and subsequently worked professionally as an actor in the theatre, television and film before going on to direct and produce in the theatre and radio.
I began developing feature film ideas for Kennedy Miller Ents in 1995 and worked for them on both ‘Babe’ movies before joining Carnival Films to develop long running returnable drama series for television.
As director in charge I recently completed a 26 part animated series for the BBC while developing an animated feature film due to start production shortly. I was born in south America and speak Spanish fluently, sometimes to my wife and two children … who humour me. |

After University, I worked as the Filming Manager at the British Museum coordinating projects as diverse as Neil LaBute’s ’Possession’ and Tony Robinson’s Time Team. Relishing working with the rich and famous, I also ran the Events Team at the museum, project managing events such as The Man Booker Prize for Literature’s gala dinner and presidential visits.
I then moved into Theatre marketing and was part of the team that brought the highly successful ‘Billy Elliot’ to the West End stage.
In moving to MaST Theatre and Film I like to think that I retain and make good use of my theatrical and film-industry knowledge and key organisational skills. |

I read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford and worked as an Economist before I trained to become a professional actress at Mountview Academy.
I had previously lived in seven different countries and became fluent in Dutch, Portuguese and French. But as an actor it became possible to travel across time as well as space; my work as a professional actress ranged from playing historical characters such as Cleopatra to recording the voice for the grumpy Mediterranean Granny in a futuristic computer game.
Throughout my acting career I also worked as a consultant for clients in the private and public sectors. |
